This is an easy microwave sausage egg cheese omelette recipe that you can add to your low carb meal planner. It is a quick low carb breakfast that is high in protein and taste. This simple omelette is loaded with a few simple ingredients that you probably have in the refrigerator.

Ingredients

This recipe includes ground turkey breakfast sausage, eggs, provolone cheese, mayo, and a few fresh vegetables. This sausage egg cheese omelette uses a precooked ground turkey breakfast sausage that had been cooked earlier. If you do not have any cooked ground breakfast sausage sitting around, you can always chop a precooked breakfast sausage link or patty to use. This will help keep this sausage egg cheese omelette recipe quick and easy. I chose to use 4 eggs for my microwave omelet maker and it was pushing the limit. So, if you have a larger omelet maker the recipe below should be perfect. On the other hand, if your omelet maker is on the smaller side, 4 medium eggs may be one too many. Instead of using a typical cheddar cheese, I added provolone cheese to this omelette to give it a new cheesy flavor. And, last, but not least, mayo is mixed is whisked in with the eggs. The mayo adds both flavor and moisture to this microwave sausage egg cheese omelette.

Toppings

After placing all of the ingredients together in the microwave safe dish of your choice, microwave the omelette in one minute increments until cooked. The time required for it to cook may vary greatly depending on the size of your dish. My omelet maker is relatively small but has a little more depth than some that I have seen, so it took about 3 minutes to cook. Once cooked, this one was topped with a few pieces of chopped fresh tomatoes and cilantro. However, you can also top the sausage egg cheese omelette with green onion or avocados.

  • 4 Eggs
  • 1 tbsp. Mayo
  • 1/4 c. Ground Turkey Sausage
  • 1/2 slice Provolone Cheese

Instructions
 

  • Place the cooked ground turkey breakfast sausage in the microwave omelet container.
  • Whisk the eggs and mayo together in a bowl. The mayo will separate, but may not mix together completely.
  • Then break the cheese into pieces and place it on top of the breakfast sausage.
  • Now pour the egg mixture over the breakfast sausage.
  • Place in the microwave for 1 minute increments until the sausage egg cheese omelette has cooked.
