Low carb potatoes and sausage is definitely a keto low carb comfort food! These “low carb potatoes” taste just like authentic red potatoes! In the past, I used radishes to make a beef stew  with low carb potatoes.  It too turned out profoundly similar to the taste of potatoes as did this recipe.

Low Carb Potatoes and Sausage Recipe

I kept it simple, but the taste turned out to be really good! I only added Zummo’s Sausages fresh green bell pepper, green onions, minced garlic, and radishes. The Zummo’s Sausage is usually only available in Texas & Louisiana. Therefore, when making this low carb potatoes and sausage recipe, you can just use whatever sausage you are accustomed to eating.

Keep in mind that the sausages used are about the size of a brat or length of a hot dog wiener. Therefore, you can adjust the amount of sausage used accordingly.

A low carb diet is definitely not feel like a restrictive diet anymore because there are so many low carb substitutes for high carb foods!

  • 6 oz. Radishes (Cut into 1/4 pieces)
  • 14 oz. Turkey Sausage (Sliced)
  • 1/2 c. Bell Pepper (Sliced)
  • 1/2 c. Yellow Onions (Sliced)
  • 2 tsp. Garlic (Minced)
  • 1 tbsp. Extra Virgin Olive Oil
  • 1/2 c. Water


  • Place a medium skillet with a well fitting lid on the stove top.
  • Remove lid and add radishes, sausages, green bell pepper, onion, and garlic.
  • Next, add the olive oil and sea salt (as needed).
  • Pour a little water in the skillet and then set your stove top burner to a medium heat setting.
  • Cover with a lid and stir every five minutes.
  • Allow to cook until the radishes are soft and the meat is hot and/or cooked as needed.

To me, radishes absorb the flavor of seasoning really well. Therefore, it is very easy to over-salt your low carb radish recipes. I did not add any salt to this recipe and the taste of the low carb potatoes turned out really good!

  1. I was hesitant to try this recipe because I’ve never had radishes. However, I made this last night (except with purple radishes) and it came out amazing! The flavor of the sausage absorbed into the radish really well and I’ve got to say I was impressed. Thank you for sharing this recipe!
