This low carb shrimp bacon salad is another easy salad recipe. I enjoy salads because they can be filled with fresh low carb vegetables and homemade keto salad dressings. I enjoy cooked low carb vegetables, but it is very refreshing to enjoy a fresh crisp salad when possible.

The low carb shrimp bacon salad is another really basic salad recipe. It includes fresh iceberg lettuce, cilantro, and Roma tomato. The crisp cooked bacon and flavorful shrimp almost adds the final touch. If you decide to do so, you can also add a fresh avocado and jalapeno.

This shrimp bacon salad would go well with our fresh spicy jalapeno or avocado lime keto salad dressing recipe. If you are on the keto diet, you can use a full fat dressing to feel full and meet your fat requirements for the day. And some keto dieters may decide to omit the tomatoes. However, when possible, low carb diet eaters can use the fat free version of ingredients when making your favorite carb dressings.

Ingredients:

2 c. Iceberg Lettuce

1/4 c. Chopped Cilantro

1/4 c. Diced Roma Tomatoes

1-2 Slices Cooked Bacon

10 Medium Cooked Shrimp

1/4 c. Mild Cheddar Cheese

Avocado (optional)

Jalapeno (optional)

Fresh Jalapeno Salad Dressing or Avocado Lime Salad Dressing

Preparation:

  1. Add chopped lettuce to a medium sized bowl or plate.
  2. Next, add chopped cilantro to one side of the bowl as shown in picture.
  3. Then, place diced tomatoes alongside the cilantro.
  4. Add the cooked shrimp layer.
  5. Sprinkle the cheese alongside the shrimp.
  6. And finally add a strip of cooked bacon or crumbled bacon pieces.
  7. Top with your favorite keto salad dressing recipe and enjoy.

This is a really simple, but delicious low carb shrimp bacon salad. You can just toss everything in the bowl and enjoy just the same! The avocado and jalapeno’s will really enhance the flavor of this low carb shrimp bacon salad that much more especially if you like avocados and jalapenos.
