Easy Sausage Peppers and Onions Recipe

Easy Sausage, Peppers, and Onions Recipe

I really enjoyed this easy sausage, peppers, and onions recipe! Aside from buying a roasted chicken or something, it does not get much easier than this. In fact, once I had my first round, I turned the second round into this  low carb spicy sausage green bean soup recipe. And it has a unique ingredient that makes it taste oh so good!

However, I would normally eat this easy sausage, peppers, and onions recipe with a low carb cabbage side. With that said, l’ll go ahead and share the recipe. I used a turkey sausage link because it is a leaner sausage. Then, I added the garlic, peppers and onions to enhance the flavor of the sausage. It is all sauteed in olive oil to give it a tasty grilled sausage, peppers, and onions look.

Preparation:

  1. Place a skillet on the stove over medium-high heat.
  2. Add olive oil, garlic, onion, and bell pepper to the skillet. Stir gently.
  3. Next, add sliced turkey sausage and black pepper to the mix and stir until mixed well.
  4. Since the sausage I used is already fully cooked, I removed this low carb meal from the heat once the peppers and onions were cooked to my liking. So, if you use a raw sausage, be sure to cook until the meat is fully cooked.
  5. Remove from heat and enjoy this easy sausage, peppers, and onions recipe with a low carb side dish.
