25 Low Carb Travel Snacks For Your Next Trip

Here is a categorized list of low carb travel snacks for your next trip. To me, good low carb travel snacks are a combination of low carb, low fat and low carb, high fat. However, I think 15 grams of carbohydrates or less is ideal for each airport travel snack.

When my daily activity is low, I endeavor to keep my low carb snacks under 9 grams of carbs. Since air travel typically requires quite a bit of walking, lifting, and pulling I bring snacks with a few more carbs than usual. I do so because I prefer to have a snack with more carbs and not need it, than to have a low blood sugar at the airport. Without much fat reserve, a low blood sugar is possible. It can make you feel dizzy and faint. Clearly this is not an issue you want to experience in a fast-paced airport.

Once settled, your activity drops to almost zero as you sit or sleep on the plane. During this time, you can enjoy your low carb, low fat snacks as needed. Everyone will have slightly different circumstances. So, if you are new to being on a low carb diet, you will have to think ahead a little to decide when and what to eat at the airport.

1. Meat Bars

There are all kinds of low carb chicken, beef, bison, and turkey meat bars on the market. They do not all have the same quality. So, here is a nice combination of all natural meat bars for you to enjoy.
