Low Carb Spinach Wrap

This low carb spinach wrap is a quick and easy low carb lunch idea. After a long day, I made this low carb spinach wrap in about five minutes with a handful of ingredients.

Of course, spinach is one of the main ingredients used on a low carb spinach wrap. And with good cause because spinach is a even healthier alternative to lettuce.

According to Dr. Mercola, this dark green leafy vegetable is full of beneficial vitamins and minerals such as vitamin K, A and C. In addition, spinach contains magnesium, iron, potassium, calcium, niacin, zinc, manganese and others.

With spinach being loaded with so many good things, among other things,  it can help protect the cardiovascular system and help reduce high blood pressure.

Let’s continue with the wrap…

I made this low carb spinach wrap with an outer organic coconut wrap. Then, I arranged a bed of spinach over the low carb wrap. Afterwards, I added chopped turkey as an initial low carb meat, but chicken breast works even better. Next, I added a few thinly sliced tomato wedges.  I then sprinkled them with a few capers to add an additional burst of flavor with each bite of your low carb spinach wrap. And finally, you can add prosciutto or a strip of bacon.

Prep Time: 7 minutes  | Serving Size: 1

The Ingredients:

  • 1 Organic Coconut Wrap
  • 1/2 c. Fresh Spinach Leaves
  • 1 Pre-cooked Chicken Breast
  • 1 Small Roma Tomato
  • 1/2 Tbsp. Capers
  • 1/2 Tbsp. Black Olives
  • 1 Strip of Bacon (or Prosciutto)
  • 2 Tbsp. Fat Free Ranch Dressing

  1. Using a large plate, place the coconut wrap in the center.
  2. Spread dry spinach leaves in the middle of the wrap.
  3. Next, add chopped turkey or cooked chicken breast on top.
  4. Add a few slices of tomato and capers.
  5. Then add the bacon or prosciutto.
  6. Top with ranch dressing.
  7. Roll the wrap and eat.

Another easy low carb recipe! But, I have a few suggestions for keeping this low carb spinach wrap relatively dry. First, be sure to use mostly dry spinach leaves. If the leaves are too wet, the wrap may get a bit soggy. You can also omit the tomato seeds to keep the low carb wrap dry, And finally, do not drown your low carb spinach wrap in salad dressing. Otherwise, this too can make the wrap lose its integrity.
